VLC for Android™ plays many local video and audio files, online media (including streaming), and DVD-ISO just like the desktop version of VLC. It also supports disk sharing.

All supported file formats include MKV, MP4, AVI, MOV, Ogg, FLAC, TS, M2TS, Wv and AAC. All codecs are included without separate ads. It supports subtitles, teletext and subtitles.

VLC for Android includes a media library for audio and video files and lets you browse files directly.

VLC supports multi-track audio and subtitles. It supports auto-rotate, phase adjustment, volume, brightness and search functions.

VLC for Android requires access to the following features.
• “Photos/Media/Files” to read all files 🙂
• “Settings” to read all SD card media files 🙂
• “Other” check network connection, change sound, set volume, use Android TV, show popup. See below for more information.

About the permit:
• “Read USB storage device contents” is required to read files.
• “Change or delete contents of USB memory device” is required to delete files and save titles.

• A “full network connection” is required to access the website and the Internet.
• The phone’s sleep mode is necessary so that the phone does not fall asleep while watching a video.
• To change your voice, you “must change your voices.”
• “Change System Settings” is required to change the sound system.
• “View Network Connection” is required to monitor whether the device is connected or not.
• “Book in other apps” is required to run the picture-in-picture widget.
• Needs “adaptive vibration” to provide guidance information.

Download App

“Initialization” is required to set recommendations on the Android TV launch screen. Only used on Android TV devices.
Access to audio analysis on Android TV devices requires a microphone, which is required on Android TV devices.
